Software as a Service

We are a SaaS company where we use software to provide customers with a service. We create, develop, host and update the product ourselves. Instead of the customer installing and maintaining software, you simply access it through the internet freeing yourself from complex software and hardware management.

SaaS applications are sometimes called Web-based software, on-demand software, or hosted software. Whatever the name, SaaS applications run on a SaaS provider’s servers. We manages access to the application, including security, availability and performance.

Our company have more control over our own products than other traditional companies which means we are inclined to have greater security, faster updates, and a better user experience. We also provide more transparent pricing as we operate on a monthly customer subscription.

Platform as a Service

Akwaaba Tech also do PaaS as one of our major Services, where we provide a platform for customers to develop, run and manage applications without building and maintaining the cloud infrastructure required to develop and launch an application.

PaaS can be delivered in three different formats. First is as a cloud service from the provider. In this configuration, the customer controls software deployment with minimal configuration options. The Platform as a Service provider supplies the networking, servers, storage, operating system (OS), middleware (e.g. Java runtime, .NET runtime, integration, etc.), database and other services to host the consumer’s application. The second PaaS configuration can be run as a private service (software or appliance) behind a firewall. And finally, the third PaaS configuration can be run as software deployed on public infrastructure as a service such as AWS.

Platform as a Service benefits include more efficient application development. Platform as a Service solutions permit the customer to focus on the application itself. With PaaS, the customer manages applications and data.
